Booger Nights

We tried a new family on for play-date size yesterday, and it went swimmingly.  They have an older daughter Stella’s age and a little boy slightly younger than Felix.  Best of all, Stella and the little girl went to play-school together and were BFFs, while the boys are currently in the same class.  The mom seems down to earth and, like me, is an older mom.  It was a nice time, and I’m hopeful we have lots of good outings to look forward to in the future.

If filth is any indication of how well it went, I present my son:twothree

Y’all, he was so filthy even his boogers were dirty.  I spent several minutes in the tub trying to remove what seemed like 3″ of boogers and snot out of each nostril.  I hate snot.  It really is my least favorite bodily fluid.  I can’t tell if the dirt made it better or worse.

how come children don’t care when their faces are covered in shit and dirt? Is that a skill on the adult list?
